Calista nodded in drunken understanding at everything that Lambda had just said, including the thing about adult activities with her. She giggled a little as she rocked back on her heels precariously before smiling at the way Lambda was still straddling Artie-kun. She smiled and giggle, ignoring the fact that people were around, including Lucas, and started to sing teasingly.
"Artie and Lamby sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G." She sung this two or three times before falling back and landing on the ground, giggling uncontrollably.

“THAT I WHAT?” shrieked Artisan, ”What are you talking about, Lambda? You know I'm not gay! Where's this coming from? I'm not...Oh. I know what it is. You're jealous, you are! As stupid as this situation is...maybe it's a good thing you're jealous! If I kissed him right now, would you be jealous? Good. I want you to be jealous for once.”
At the moment, making out with Lucas didn't seem to be too much of a bad thing. If it would make Lambda angry, then Artisan would be all too happy to do it.
”How am I supposed to impress you, if nothing is ever good enough for you?” argued Artisan. Snatching his notebook from the counter, he flipped through his designs for various elaborate weapons. There were several dozen different designs, some more complicated than others.
”Remember this weapon? You know, the one I spent night after night working on!” said Artisan. Violently, he tore the pages and crumpling up the paper, threw them across the bar. “What about this one? This one? Every weapon I ever made, I made for you, I did!” he said, “Do you like me or not, Lambda? I'm tired of waiting! I give up! I give up trying to impress you! Watch. I'm going to kiss him right now and there's nothing you can do about it! YOU. LUCAS. PUCKER UP, DAMMIT. I'LL SHOW YOU SOME SWEET, KOREAN LOVE.”
Artisan didn't do well with alcohol.

Lambda had frozen in shock as Artisan ripped up the drawings, feeling a tiny bit of her soul crumble and shatter with each fallen page, face flushing, eyes wide and lip quivering a little. Did she like him?
Did she like him?
Artisan, a man who was now yelling at her, insulting her, and threatening to kiss another man, all just to get a reaction out of her? And he was asking if she liked him, of all things?!
Lucas had looked up, seeming rather surprised by this turn of events, seeing Artisan lean towards him with the intent to kiss, eyebrows raising, trying to decide whether this was really a good idea or not, especially what with Lambda, his friend, raging away over there, while practically on his lap.
As it turned out, Lucas never got to make a decision. Lambda made it for him. Seeing red, the girl acted and spoke without even so much as a thought for consequence.
"Oh, there's something I can do."
Placing one hand on the back of Artisan's head, she pulled his lips to hers, kissing him as passionately as she knew how to, momentarily lost in a dizzying rush of adrenaline, before she slowly began to realize what she had just done.
She had just... kissed... him.
Oh dear god.
Freezing slightly, she backed off with a frozen expression of shock, face completely engulfed in a scarlet blush, looking as if she may well suffer from cardiac arrest at any moment. Letting out a tiny muted squeak, her knees gave out from beneath her, plopping down on Artisan's lap, staring into middle distance.
Lucas gazed at the sight before him with nothing less than an awed expression, before turning to Calista, now beginning to laugh uncontrollably. "You don't know how right you are, miss." He chuckled, amazed at Lambda's actions. Slipping off of his stool, he momentarily leant down to sweep Calista back to her feet, holding her close, putting one hand at the small of her back to support her, one eyebrow raised with an amused grin.
"Since I'm not getting any sweet, Korean love, how about some love from you, my little spitfire?"

Calista may have been drunk but the shock of seeing the two kiss still made her mouth fall open. She simply gawked at the two, confused as to what had just happened. She had just been singing about kissing and then the two kiss? Was she some kind of fortune teller or something. She blinked a few times and couldn't help but let out a startled cry when she was swept to her feet and held close, resulting in a light blush flowing into her face.
She giggled and leaned into him, kinda liking the little nickname given to her by the stranger. She smiled and wiggled a little. "And where would this love happen tall and handsome? What kinda love are we talking?" She gave him a wink, one that was probably a bit more sexual then intended.

Genuinely surprised by Lambda's brash action, Artisan wrapped his arms around he young woman in front of him to steady himself, one of his hands finding itself tangled in her hair. Before Artisan had even had a chance to respond with a passionate, passion fruit tasting kiss of his own, Lambda had pulled away.
Rosy pink plastered itself across his nose and cheeks, a sign that Artisan liked the way things were going. “Do you...Do you like me, Lambda?” Artisan asked gently, “Or did that not mean what I think it means?”
Artisan took Lambda by the hands and stood up, seating her on the bar stool instead of himself. “I think I like you.” Still holding one of Lambda's hands, he kissed her knuckles before letting go—savoring the moment in case it was the last time he'd get the chance. “I could be wrong, I could. But you said yourself I have an eye for quality.”
Shit. Did he say that out loud?
With a sigh, he dropped to the floor and began to collect the scraps of his work, trying to avoid Lambda's gaze. The only design left was the swords he was designing for Lambda's birthday, the one with the beautiful engravings. He closed the cover quickly and handed it to Lambda. “Can you put this on the counter for me?” he asked.

Artisans words seemed almost as if they had floated straight over the young woman's head, blinking slowly, trying to comprehend what had just happened. He was asking her questions, saying all these things that almost seemed as if they had stepped right out an alternate reality. He was saying that he liked her, kissing her hand, even complimenting her?
Lambda breathed out a long wheeze of a breath, sounding as if the breath had been knocked out of her by the force of his words. Nodding mutely, she took the notebook from him, cover falling open as she fumbled with it, eyes flickering over the sketch as she did so, slowing down as she began to realize what it was. It were for her... she hadn't asked for it either. It was a... present? A beautiful, beautiful present...
Straightening up, she held the notebook close to her chest as opposed to placing it down as he had asked, standing before him with her gaze averted, still bright red in the face, wondering if she even had the power left in her to speak.
"I-I-I... I-I d-didn't... I-I-I m-meant... W-well, I-I d-do... I-I d-don't... g-gahhhhh!" She put her head in her hands, burrowing her face into the notebook, blushing furiously. This was going to be extremely difficult.
Grinning broadly at Calista's enthusiasm, he tipped his head so that their lips were mere inches apart, eyes glinting with sly motive, enjoying the blush he had caused. "Well, my dear spitfire, whatever kind of love strikes your fancy tonight... I am in your control. Unless you prefer being under someone else's power, now and then." He winked back, running his other hand down her side to rest on her lightly on hip, fighting back the urge to squeeze it and let his hand wander...
No, Lucas, slow it down. He wasn't about to ruin a good chance by rushing things, that wasn't his way.

Artisan picked up the scraps of paper with on odd gentleness, the way some people might handle dynamite. Head bowed low and bangs falling down his face, acting as a shield for eye-contact with Lambda, Artisan awaited a rejection. The only reply for his 'yes or no' question was a string of incomprehensible stutters, ones that sent the young mechanic into dismay.
“Looks like I gave away my heart,” he muttered, “But you still don't realize you have it. It's alright Lambda, I understand.”
Collecting the last of the scraps, which had been days upon days of work, he sighed and searched for a trashcan. Hazy, drunken eyesight wasn't helping him in the least. After stumbling over and depositing the scraps, graphite now smeared along his fingers, he wobbled back to the counter to retrieve the notepad.
He was silent for a few moments, refusing to meet Lambda's gaze.
Then he spoke.
“I'm going back to work.”
Although now, he wasn't sure what he was working for. Had Lambda manipulated him in some way? Always having wanted to impress her, now that he was official rejected—in his mind at least—Artisan felt crushed. He turned slowly and took his time, moving a few small steps at a time towards the door.

Oh God. This really wasn't going well, was it...
Lambda let out a small cry of dismay as he began to walk towards the bar door, seeming to flail her arms in somewhat of a loose windmill fashion for a moment, before putting her head in her hands, finding that doing this blind was actually somewhat easier than speaking of such things when able to see the person.
"W-wait! I never said I didn't l-l-l-like y-you! Damnit all, c-come back here you b-baka! S-stupid... m-mongrel... I... um..."
When all else fails, speak in another language entirely.
"D-DAISUKE!"
Pausing, she removed her fingers from her face, having to wonder if he'd actually understand her, being that he was Korean, not Japanese...
"She means 'I love you', by the way." Lucas chipped in, having rather an extensive knowledge of various languages, figuring that he owed Lambda at least that much as to help her not screw up this blooming relationship.

To Artisan, love for someone else was something you couldn't fix. Even the frailest of machines were easy to shape back together, easy to comprehend and understand. But hearts? If you broke a heart, it bled. It hadn't felt like his heart was bleeding however, when he thought Lambda had rejected him. Rather, it felt like it'd just stopped ticking. It felt like he was dead. But as Lambda shouted “I love you”, even if it was in a language he didn't entirely understand, his heart might as well have spurred to life with a bolt of lightning.
He turned slowly, a ghost of a smile on his lips. “Good to know,” he said to Lucas, mentally thanking him for the clarification. Now that left one last thing to settle...
“Lambda...you know I'm Korean, right?”
His smile broadened.
“Who's the 'baka' now?”
Artisan was back.

Face flushing, she pouted awkwardly, lacing and unlacing her hands in front of her, a little peeved that all he had to say after her dramatic, grand confession was to nitpick on her language choice.
"I-I know that." She mumbled arrogantly, seeming a little sulky about the matter. "I just don't know how to say... t-that in Korean." She defended her choice feebly, still not meeting his gaze. What a time for him to be teasing her!
"You're still a baka... e-either way..."

Calista blinked a few times at the scene, listening to them bicker and almost chirped in before Lucas did. She blinked, it was her native language, the language her mother had raised her talking in Japan before moving back here when she was about to enter middle school. It was odd having someone else know what stuff like that meant. She blinked a few times and shook her head, her sister probably learned that from anime though, she knew she watched it a lot.
She blinked a little and blushed more as she felt Lucas move his arm down to her hip and blushed even more when he moved his face in front of her's. "W-well being under someone else's control would be an interesting experience." She giggled lightly and pressed into him.

Perception still quite off from his drinks, Artisan leaned too close towards Lambda's ears, causing his lips to gently brush against them. “You know, in Korea we say it a little differently,” whispered Artisan, “We say 'saranghae'. And if I want to say I really, really love you—which I do—I say... Nan nul chu mal chu mal saranghae! Now you know.”
Wobbling slightly, he placed a hand on Lambda's shoulder's to avoid falling over. A mischievous light was in his eyes, the one that sparked when he teased her. It was the look on his face after he tugged one of her pigtails in an important Crusaders meeting, or when he said a “bad word”, or just...when Lambda was herself, her infuriating self.
“Also, the man who was hitting on me is trying to corner Calista alone, he is.”

Blushing, Lambda shivered a little as his lips brushed against her ear, feeling herself go weak at the knees all over again, sitting back on the bar stool heavily, before looking up at Artisan, noting the glint in his eye with a slight pout, recognizing it from previous irritating exploits. He really was teasing her now... Well, fine.
"Alright then..." She took a deep breath, and tried to remember his pronunciation word for word, balling her hands into fists and squeezing her eyes shut. "Nan nul chu mal chu mal... s-saranghae!" She, thankfully, managed to avoid too many stutters and stammers, before looking up at Artisan as he pointed out Calista and Lucas' current... situation, before looking over her shoulder, a look of disgust and faint anger passing over her features. Only for a moment, before they melted back into another soppy, slightly sulky blush, not really wanting to be distracted from Artisan... Her Artisan.
"Eh... she knows what she's doing." She said offhandedly, looking back up at Artisan, rather hoping that she would have another chance to kiss him... and properly this time. Although, perhaps it would be better for him to kiss her, since she really didn't know what she was doing, and the rush of adrenaline and emotions that had spurred on her initial actions were now gone from her body, leaving her rather defenceless.
Lucas grinned slyly, rather pleased with this answer. Moving his hands so that one settled in amongst the girl's firey locks at the back of her head, and the other wrapped around her waist, he nodded as if to approve her answer, keeping their faces close together, prolonging it as if to continually tease her.
"I like the way you think, my little spitfire... That can be arranged."
As she pressed into him, he felt a light shiver run through him, before pulling her towards him, at first ghosting his lips over hers in a mere tease of a kiss, before kissing her fully, with a heated passion.

Taking Lambda's word for it, who chose to ignore Calista and Lucas in exchange for something much better...some quality time with his boss.
“What are you pouting about? You had excellent pronounciation,” he whispered, “Saranghae.” Reaction time delayed as he leaned towards her ear, he accidentally nipped her upper ear with his teeth, his lips brushing against the cartilage. The fact he tugged it slightly didn't help his claim that it was purely accidental.
The blush on Artisan's face was undeniable and he sat, dumbfounded, in silence. What had he just done?

Flushing as he whispered the word, heavy with meaning, she opened her eyes, beginning to speak, cut off immediately as Artisan gently nipped her ear, a blush exploding on her cheeks. What happened next seemed so out of character for people than knew Lambda well, but for those who didn't, it seemed to fall in surprisingly well with her strange appearance, sounding as if it had come straight out of a somewhat 'adult' production.
A soft moan escaped the girls lips, head tipping to the side, eyes shut and face flushing, freezing as she realized what had happened, inclining her head quickly into her chest and hunching over, looking as if she might explode from embarrassment. It seemed that her ear was her 'weak spot', so to speak... And Artisan had just hit that on the bullseye.
